When Dream feels his heart rate speed up at the end of George's Livestream, he knows he's too far gone. "This feels so wrong," George says and repeats. Dream clicks off the stream, the sounds of labored breathing filling the room as he tried to stem the panic he was feeling. The next day, after he had just barely dragged himself away from the edge of oblivion and heartache he would never return from, he felt the first tickle at the back of his throat. He coughed roughly, it sounded like he had fluid in his lungs or something. Pneumonia, maybe? George loved Clay, it wasn't some dumb high school love, it was real love. Yet George had to keep it locked away deep inside his so very fragile heart, reason being that Clay was homophobic. Clay wasn't who you thought he was, he may seem like just another popular boy who went through liking girls, but Clay was in fact gay, only no one knew this and even Clay himself pushed it away at every thought about it. He got a girlfriend to push away the fact he was gay however he doesn't seem like her. The only way surely for George to forget about his love for Clay was to move on, find someone else, someone to fill the endless void in his heart, after making a profile on a dating website he thinks it will be easy to move on, turns out it's a lot harder than it seems. I had never felt this way before, I had never felt the immediate butterflies swarm my stomach as soon as I saw them, but this was different. As soon as the new boy and his girlfriend moved to my school, I only expected to get to know them both just the same as everyone else, but I felt differently towards one of them. When your whole world is falling apart what are you supposed to do? Fall into panic, or act like everything is okay on the outside when deep inside it really wasn't. Clay decided to do just that, when his dad dies he is completely crushed, only then to find his best friends both lay dead on the blood filled hardwood floors. He decides the best way to get over all of this was to push it aside, act like nothing happens and shut everyone out. He can't trust anyone. Clay has autism and finds comfort in simple things, the illuminated a fireplace on a winter's night, fish swimming and stuffed animals. However, this was all soon to change after a tragic accident. Clay finds himself alone, seeing his happiness slip away from one simple mistake. George doesn't have an easy home life, after noticing signs of possibly a muscle disease, his only wish is to get help for it, however his parents deny every word that is brought up about it. Yet, it gets worse by the day as George quickly looses any hope left. When Clay is left traumatised by his past, he thinks nothing will bring back the same happiness he once felt, but when George moves into the farm he often visits, that same joy that was extinguished with the fire, sparks again...
