Gerard's life takes a strange turn when his family moves to a small town in Vermont and he discovers the locals aren't all what they seem to be. Gerard Way has been in a coma for two months after getting into a near-fatal car accident, driving under the influence. He cannot do anything but hear the people around him. He so badly wants to wake up, but doesn't know how. One day, when Frank Iero visits his dying grandfather in the hospital, Frank sees Gerard, and from there, an immediate connection between the two is created. Over a period of time, Frank begins to develop feelings for the comatose patient, waiting for the day he will wake up, and Gerard also begins to develop feelings for Frank, but still longs for the day he gets to wake up out of this comatose state he's been in for so long.
