It's a love-hate relationship for Ingressus. Ninety-five percent on the hate side. In the whisperings of the tales that have been passed down to your ears, he accidentally killed him in a battle one hundred fifty years beyond their time. But the chattering of tales sometimes amount to little more than lies. What if I told you that Ingressus never killed Achillean? What if I told you... Achillean 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥? It all begins with just before Ingressus entered that battle. And from the moment Achillean appeared on the scene, to the moment Ingressus struck him with fatal wounds, fate decided to force these two together in another time. Ardonia fights its bloodiest war in history. The Voltaris strike against the other clans for the first time in 900 years. The Nether seeks vengeance against the Overworld with a gigantic siege. In the midst of it all is Thalleous Sendaris: Champion of the Ardoni, lieutenant in the Sendaria Militia, and one of the first combatants of the Great War. As powers older than any record join the battle, Thalleous wages war not just against enemies bearing swords, but the doubts he has about rivalries older than memory and the seductive power of the Prime Songs that this war is fought for. This story is the first in a set of two; the second being Champion Revised, a redone and notably modified work. If you are coming here from the Revised edition, don't feel worried that this is a strict copy of the newer text; there's satisfactory difference to keep you entertained. Long ago, at the end of the Great War, the Voltaris were outnumbered. The war had gone on for far too long and the Nether Armada had abandoned them. Their only choice was to erect an obsidian portal for their leader, Ingressus - one that led not to another place, but another time. The portal was intended to only travel one hundred and fifty-four years into the future. But when the Deathsinger emerged, he learned that he had gone forward by one thousand and fifty-four years. Achillean Nestoris followed Ingressus through the portal. It was his goal to ensure that the Deathsinger never collected the four Prime Songs, and he failed. Now that the portal had stripped both of them of their Songs, the Tidesinger had the opportunity to succeed in his mission. But navigating this new version of Ardonia would soon prove to be... difficult.

After the mysterious death of Achillean, it's up to Ingressuss to find out who did it and why? But that might be a challenge as the person who did it was clever and covered their tracks. This adventure leads Ingressuss to places he has never seen and meets new friends along the way. Can Ingressuss find out who did it before time runs out? We can only hope!

This narrative of a fanfic is a mere inspiration of Samurai_Z's/PurpleNinja257's Songs of War fanfiction, The Second Great War. The scene focuses on Aurora Nestoris as she is summoned to answer a distress call from Ataraxia, the headquarters of the Knights of Ardonia and the source of strength and light for the Ardoni species, for their chances of survival is hanging by an ever so thinly thread as it already has since the first war. By the time she arrives, it's already too late. She is shattered from her shells to her very core when she stumbles upon the burning city and discovers the true source of the terrain's demise along with its refugees. Her fleeting hope dwells in the fires, agonizing to be among the ashes left behind from the carnage.
