Finishing a lecture at a local college, Dr Spencer Reid is suprised to be approached by a nervous young woman who hands him a file and then disappears. After reading the file, Spencer realises he must find and work with the woman in order to bring down a large cult which she escaped from years before.

Emily Prentiss and Aaron Hotchner are best friends. They have been really close for a long time, always being there for each other. Their close friendship already scared away many potential partners for each of them, but they always chose their friendship over a relationship to someone else.
