"There's no such thing as that," he said. "We all make our own fate." Sure, she was plain and dull, but she was the sort one could settle down with in a few years after the sowing of the wild oats was completed. . .if one could get past how plain and ordinary she was that is. In truth, Lady Lavinia Antrucha was nothing compared to her sister, Cassandra. She had neither beauty nor social notoriety. . .but at least she didn't leave a trail of broken hearts behind her. She's the one people go to when they're in trouble and don't know what to do, the one who is supposed to be the stronger of the two Antrucha girls, the one her parents expect will stay with them for the rest of their lives, because what man would want to marry plain, little Lavinia? The most sought after bachelor in all of Scotland, the life of any given party, that's what they named Laird Ethan Brodi. He was the toast of high society and the man every mother yearned to see on their doorstep, asking to see their fine daughter. He knew there was something more to life than petty women who couldn't see past his fine physique, and he intended to find it; that is, until his father decided he had spent enough time unmarried and forged an alliance with the rich Antruchas by promising him in marriage to the eldest daughter who would certainly match Ethan in good looks and fine tastes. As far as Ethan was concerned, Lady Cassandra Antrucha could take a long walk off a short pier, but his father's word was law, and so to England he must go to meet his future bride. Can he go through with a marriage when his heart yearns for another? #Wattys2016

*SEQUEL to I Am Bree* **Copyrighted** His hand snatched my wrist out of the air, tugging it. With my momentum, I slammed right into him, but I went fighting, my free fist pummeling his stomach. He grabbed the hand and pushed me backwards, keeping the space small between us. I was too angry to notice anything until my back hit the wall. "Look at me." His voice rumbled right above me, barely more than a whisper. "Don't tell me what to do!" I kicked at him, continuing to struggle as fiercely as I could. "Look at me." He said again. "Like hell." I kicked him in the shin, but he didn't even flinch and closed the space between us entirely so I could barely move. "Look me in the eyes and tell me what you think of me." He growled. I looked up at him, panting heavily from my anger. "I said: don't tell me what to do." I ground out. "You don't have the right to talk to me that way." He moved back slightly. "That's right." A strange glint appeared in his eyes. "Think hard on this right now, Bree, and remember it the next time someone else tries to talk to you like that." I had never heard him speak so seriously and with such conviction. "What is wrong with you?" I snapped. "You did that on purpose." The corner of his lip lifted gently in the hint of an arrogant smirk. *I couldn't find the original creators for the pictures I used to make my cover, but all the credit goes to them!!*

Once, light graced the entire kingdom of Roahla, but now the land is shrouded in darkness. The land was cursed to be shunned by the sun, and the moon is left as the largest source of light. Only magic keeps the land alive after a century of darkness. Celia is a normal human in the sun-forsaken land of Roahla until a young dragon chooses her to be her rider. With the aid of magic from her dragon, Celia goes on a quest to find what remains of the last rays of the last sunset. She hopes to use them to restore the sun to Roahla. Little does she know, there are those who do not desire the return of the sun. Both friends and foes await the human girl and her dragon. Completed! Constructive criticism and critiques are welcome. Thank you for looking at my story! I appreciate it! Sneak Peek! "You're sixteen, you went through twelve years of school, and you passed the test to be one of the Potentials in the Choosing. You even got the third highest score in the class...out of five...only four of who passed... I'm average! I'm not the best." She paced, "What if I do something stupid and ruin my chances to be chosen? That's even worse than not being chosen at all!" "Calm... caaaalllmm..." Celia slowly inhaled, then attempted to regain her focus by explaining what she had to do in the simplest way possible. "All I have to do is go out there when I am called, stand in front of the dragons, then open my mind and soul for examination by the draga. That's simple enough."
