"Who are you?" I asked, wincing when I heard my voice tremble in fear. A sad smile appeared on his pale lips. "I thought maybe you would remember me." He let go of my wrist entirely and allowed his shoulders to fall. Hearing the scrambling of chairs behind me, I craned my neck and saw the others rise from the table. The group of ten or so individuals made an imposing sight, and all I could think of was to get away as fast as I could. They didn't look scary, but something was off. I could feel it. I was certain. As I dashed, I saw one a few other students ignoring those guys completely, and that's when it hit me. No one else could see them. My skin began to prickle, and fear crept up my spine and neck. I ran.

A bookworm at heart, and a secret passion for music, living with her mother after her parents divorce, alone with no siblings to squabble with, she wishes nothing but to leave her home town and escape into the stupendous world that everyone writes about in stories. However, currently she's fighting the battles of a zero existent social life that deems her too busy. But what happens when one day a small note is left for her in the library? And then another and another. Finally when everything starts looking up, Austen starts looking down, memorising the messy loopy handwriting of the boy she's never met, yet knew too much.
