☭ POST WORLD WAR II, the world was a confusing place. Between the United States and Russia, the threat of nuclear war plagued the minds of everyone. The former allies fought with shady, backhanded trade agreements, showing off which nation had the bigger guns come time for another war. But the Russians had something greater working behind the scenes. Anastasia Romanov was trained for this: infiltrate and assume cover in American operations, more specifically, the Central Intelligence Agency. She worked her way through internship, to the typing pool, to sitting in a laboratory with Hank McCoy and taking notes of his findings.
