In the late nineties asexuality is all but ignored as an orientation. Jess doesn't understand her complex array of emotions or why she finds it so hard to relate to her fellow classmates. Catholic high schools and churches simply don't address the issue, and the internet is still nascent. Jess can't tell anyone the truth. Not even her best friend Care. Instead, she hides behind the guise of faith. Behind a mask of celibacy. Until she meets Eric, that is. He lets slip that he's asexual, and Jess wants to learn more. --- Watty Winner 2021 for best cover, best YA, and the Wattpad Books prize! --- Status: completed and unedited Rating: PG-15 for moderate language and frank discussions about sexuality Genre: teen fiction romance featuring two heteroromantic ace characters --- Cover designed using Canva Pro August 2020 --- Please note: This work is a teen fiction novelization of my multimedia novella "Mask of Celibacy".

Ana Redwing is a half breed, spurned by her father's people, held in contempt by her mother's. An accident when she was younger has rendered her unsightly to look upon, so she ekes out a lonely existence in the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is known as a healer, practicing the medicine of her mother's tribe. But the town folk of the nearby outpost only use her knowledge when they have nothing left to lose. Consequently, she is happier with animals than people, surrounding herself with her livestock. Once a thief, always a thief. Colton Lassiter has been on the wrong side of the law too many times to count. After he double crosses the bank robbers he once rode with, he has to find a place to lay low for the winter. The Sandia Mountains outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico, seem just perfect. But he's never been very good at laying low. When he accidentally shoots his own dog, he seeks out the help of the reclusive healer Albuquerque shuns. And finds out exactly why she's ostracized. It's not until his past catches up to him on Christmas Eve that he has a chance to redeem himself, as well as prove to a damaged woman that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

[COMPLETE] Brenton Tucker swept like a cool breeze into the long, stifled summer of Amelia's life. He was everything a hero should be-- all easy smiles, broad shoulders, and rakish good looks. Years of common sense left her when he invited her into his company, and she found herself tangled with him beneath virgin sheets. He worshiped her body, crooned sweet promises into her ear, and a dismal future forecast of drudgery and struggle lifted away at his words. He claimed her, stole her away from strangled city life, and rewrote her future in one glorious night of star-crossed lovemaking. There was just one problem-- Brent Tucker wasn't hero of Amelia's story.
