Dream doesn't expect anything weird after one strange text while he's editing his video. When Clay is the witness of a murder at his tenth, his life seems to be over. Because of the daily death threats, blackmailing and fear he needs to live in, he decides to take drugs to calm down. Within days, he gets severely addicted to alcohol and drugs and starts stealing for his drug dealer to get more so he doesn't do anything to himself to stop the intense fear within him. George lives the absolute perfect life and doesn't know anything about problems. He thinks everyone is complaining until he finds his sibling who overdosed and then figures out Clay suffers too. He has no idea how to cope with it, but decides to do anything he can to be a better friend and brother. After finding out Clay has a severe and life threatening dairy allergy, he keeps getting more and more stomach aches and allergic symptoms to other foods to the point he is barely allowed to eat anything anymore. He is so sick of always feeling awful that not eating anything seems like the best way out... Sapnap went through a traumatic past and has always been ignored by his parents because his disabled brother, George, needs all the help he could get. Sapnap starts experiencing more and more problems, every now and then reverting to a younger person while he skips school to escape his bullies. Clay and Sapnap meet in an unexpected way and seem to get along very well. Clay loves taking care of George and the two finally seem to be able to talk about their hidden pain and feelings, but unfortunately, that doesn't solve the problems they go through... George is different and they are sick of being judged. As soon as George learns not to care anymore they change to the person they want to be. They start wearing nail polish, dresses like they want to, uses they/them pronouns and shows openly that they are gay by adding a rainbow badge on their bag. Clay, a closeted gay bully, scared of the world around him. He never shows the real him, because he's scared of being judged. Clay bullies George because he's actually really jealous of him and is in love with George. But Clay makes the biggest mistake by kissing George and his world seems to be collapsing. His secret is threatened to come out for the whole world, something he always planned on keeping a secret. When your whole world is falling apart what are you supposed to do? Fall into panic, or act like everything is okay on the outside when deep inside it really wasn't. Clay decided to do just that, when his dad dies he is completely crushed, only then to find his best friends both lay dead on the blood filled hardwood floors. He decides the best way to get over all of this was to push it aside, act like nothing happens and shut everyone out. He can't trust anyone. George hasn't had an easy life after being diagnosed with autism. Going to a public school as an autistic, highly intelligent boy, he clearly notices the differences between his classmates and himself, giving him a lot of insecurity and shame about his own behaviour. As his escape, he goes to a bakery for hours a day to calm his mind, but things change when a new boy who moved is hired. Unexpectedly, and for the first time, George decides to open himself up to the new boy, Clay, while at the same time, Clay slowly starts falling for his new best friend, George. Mostly fluff with some angst every now and then! ⚠️ I wrote this book from my own experience and my own mindset, as someone with diagnosed autism, highly intelligent and ADHD. I DON'T think people with autism are childish or cute, I'm not projecting a stereotype. This is from my own struggles with autism at a public school without special needs.

I had never felt this way before, I had never felt the immediate butterflies swarm my stomach as soon as I saw them, but this was different. After Clay gets evicted, he has to live on the streets. He breaks down completely and he doesn't see any purpose anymore. When he sleeps on the streets, he sees a boy passing by everyday. One day the boy comes up to him, giving him food and coffee. After Clay gets a high fever, the boy invites him over at his house, but that's where Clay makes the biggest mistake of his life...
