Also, the twins are a year younger when this takes place, so they are 11 going on 12 when Mabel goes to Gravity Falls and the whole Weirdmageddon thing happens. . Summer was over, and it was time to get back to school. Mabel, who just got back from their great uncles' place, is excited to show and tell her twin about all the cool stuff that happened, though she isn't suspecting to accidentally bring a certain yellow demon with her to California... After the episode "Sock Opera" where Mabel got possessed by Bill, the dream demon was able to teleport to her mind right before being destroyed, leaving him very weak but also very much alive. Also the barrier around Gravity Falls doesn't quite effect Bill anymore since he is now kinda bound to Mabel's mind and wherever she is, he is too. They've been having nightmares about Bill Cipher and him returning back from stone. Ford and Stan just came back from their long trip across the ocean and are happy that the "Mystery Twins" are back. Dipper Pines cares for the members of the Cipher Wheel, but doesn't realize that some take advantage of him. Some members pity him, but are scared that it would happen to them. Bill notices this so he tries to capture him to break him out of this slave/servant role that the Cipher Wheel places him under.
