But she had grown up a paranoid child learning to throw knives from a young age. She had a deadly accuracy that no one in the games had expected. But no one can come out of the games unchanged, and Bree came out a shell of herself. Slowly, she learned to put the pieces of herself back together. Step by step, her friends and family helped her to heal. As she learned how to be herself again. But one person in particular helped her. A certain golden boy determined that he could help her, and help her he did. Together, the two of them put each other back together and learned to love again. The Capital loved their relationship, and together they learnt to navigate it. The private relationships they kept behind closed doors and the parts they were forced to share with the world. When they got married, they had two ceremonies. One for the capital and one for themselves and their families on the beaches of District 4, where they could get married how they wanted, surrounded by the people they loved.
