This is my personal take on the HTTYD story. The story will include old characters, as well as a couple new ones, and bring more to the less fleshed out characters (Savage, Ryker, etc.). Language warning, also some violence.

In this AU: Hiccup and Astrid are friends who used to date, and the third movie doesn't happen.

as Hiccup and Fishlegs are on their way back to dragons edge after searching Lycanwing Island but see that their is a giant Island that is just south of Lycanwing Island that has what seems to be a volcano moving around it in circles so after getting back to Dragons Edge and talking sense into Tuffnut the next day the Dragon riders all go out to the Island to see what lurks on this Island...or at least who lurks on the Island

For centuries the Vikings of Berk have been at war with dragons. They thought that was the only enemy out there, but they were wrong. Soon they start seeing these horrid creatures. These creatures look like humans, but they hold the attributes of dragons. These creatures were said to be stronger than humans and flew with the dragons, they had horns that were said to be their very bones sticking from their head. They had wings that would cut through the wind and could become tougher than dragon hide. They believed that their wings and horns were made from the first dragon himself. The Vikings all swore to kill off these...winged people. But what would happen if the Son of the Chief fell in love with a said Horrid Winged person. "Who are you?" The shadowed figure asked in a serious tone, as they drew another arrow. Getting ready to shoot at the lanky brunette. Hiccup could only fumble with his words as he tried to keep his calm, "Please I-I-I don't mean any harm!" He said. "I don't believe you." They said as they edged out of the shadows. Y/N is an 18 year old who used to live on the island of Berk. He was suddenly lost due to a strong storm that went by at the age of 9. He had met a male Light Fury which isn't a species known on Berk. He had befriended the dragon and eventually earned the title Dragon Rider. Y/N has no recollection of his Berkian history and doesn't dwell into it. He had named the Light Fury Glowtooth. About 9 years later a new villain appears in the archipelago, Viggo Grimborn and his brother Ryker Grimborn. Hiccup Haddock and his friends are trying to rid of the two because they're hunting and killing dragons which leads Y/N and him to come across each other on the field of battle ending up with Y/N fleeing the scene along with his Light Fury. Will Hiccup try and find the two or wait for their return? Will Y/N return or stay in hiding and leave it to Hiccup?

After an earthquake destroyed her village when she was 5 years old, Ashley Hopkins was rescued by a monstrous nightmare, who took her back to their hidden world. Being raised by the dragons, after 4 years, Ashley knew how to understand their language and went around islands along with the dragons to save others from the hunters. At the age of 10, during an expedition, Ashley found a young dragon trapped in a dragon proof cage. She was beautiful and looked like a light fury, but with a black torso and their wings glowed like stars. After defeating the hunters and freeing the dragons, Ashley gets attached to the beautiful shiny dragon, and learns that it's specie is called moon fury, or lunar fury, and its rarer than the light or night fury. The young dragon, having the same age as Ashley, soon bonds with her and they start their friendship. 9 years later, Ashley had made a reputation. She was know as Lunar Fighter. A person who fights the hunters to free the dragons. No one never understands how the Lunar Rider is able to control the dragons. No one knows who they are. Ashley's armor is made from scales from several different dragons, with several different colors, but being mostly black, white, green and purple. Her helmet looks like a the head of a light fury, but it's mostly black with the edges and areas around the eyes being purple, as well as having a white moon on the forehead of the mask. What will happen when the Lunar Rider runs into a night fury and his rider? I DON'T OWN HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. I ONLY OWN ASHLEY, HER DRAGONS AND THEIR PLOT.

Nightfurys were thought to have gone extinct a long time ago with only Toothless being the last of their kind. But the world can hold secrets larger than anyone can imagine. What if a nightfury evolved? not being able to be seen not even a shadow casted upon the starry night?
