"When a learned fox is placed within a group of foolish wolves, the fox always comes out on top." Stories have magic, more powerful than any other force in this world. Words connect everything together; from math to science to history - what would these subjects even mean without proper language to describe their meanings? Some, however, do not see the worth in books and literature. They believe it is a mere distraction to the harsh realities of life and banish it from their lives, from their children's and grandchildren's and so on, until life has no meaning. It tumbles, flailing for air in a tide-swept ocean. What is life without the meaning literature brings? This is the story of a girl who lives through this story - her story. Her story - more full of life and words and literary magic than once thought possible - is told by me, your humble author. I have no more to add, besides this: She would be the first to tell you that she is not the main character. And she would also be one of the many ones to be wrong. TW: Mentions of blood, gore, death. Here is another one of my previous works from a while ago. Please enjoy a myth I originally created for a Greek Mythology unit in middle school.

As the title suggests, Concoctions of a Foolish Child: a Series of (Awful) Short Stories, is a collection of short stories originally written by a child (from years ago) who was told they could write. These very short stories are made to make you cringe, laugh, shake your head, or possibly creep you out. It's not my place, or my younger self's, to tell you which; it's up for you to decide.

A Loose Retelling of Beauty and the Beast A BEAUTIFUL WITCH. Bookish Myalah, the town beauty as well as its only living witch, has always wanted a way out. Now, especially, about a year after having her heart broken, she is more desperate than ever to leave. Not to mention her father's health, a problem that she cannot fix with her magic. But when an opportunity arises, Myalah is torn with indecision. Can she really set her ideals aside and leave her only home she's ever known for a possibility, and an unlikely one at that? A BEASTLY PRINCE. Luka, 'the Beast' and heir to Valennia's throne, is running out of time. As a young boy, a curse was cast upon him, one that could break his kingdom should it take full effect. He won't allow it to happen. Unfortunately, the one solution Luka was given, the one way to break the curse, his one way out, has a time limit-and he is nearly eighteen. Plus, the solution, to love and be loved, seems unattainable. Can he truly open his heart to someone else? More importantly, can he be enough for someone else's heart? Their worlds collide as their fights begin; Luka fighting against his family's will and himself for hope, for love, and for his kingdom, Myalah fighting the status quo and the jealous nobility for herself and her father.
