Based off of the song Who Knew by P!nk. In which two boys didn't know better after all.

Based off of The Selection by Kiera Cass. Tyler Oakley is the Prince of Illéa, a kingdom in a dystopian future, and is soon to be crowned King in his father's footsteps. In order for him to finally take his father's place, however, he needs a Queen to rule the nation with him. So, as per tradition, his parents announced the beginning of the Selection, a gathering of a woman of age from every province to compete for Tyler's hand in marriage. But here's the catch: Maybe Tyler doesn't want a Queen. Troye Sivan Mellet is an orphaned servant, who's been working at the palace from a young age. He's tried to keep himself under the radar - you have to, when you're gay in a land with a homophobic royal family - but what happens when one day, the usual Apprentice for the Prince is out sick, and Troye has to take his place? And what happens when, after Troye gets personally noticed by Prince Tyler Oakley of Illéa himself, Tyler doesn't stop noticing him? Some abuse. Murder. Maybe smut.

It kind of just happened. There wasn't anything memorable leading up to it, nothing that could be considerably noteworthy if you weren't paying close attention to all of the details. He was the one who took action. I was too shocked to do anything. My thoughts were moving so fast that they may as well have not existed, the images and words blurring together too much to grasp a clear thought in the process. I wished I done something. Anything. It would've saved a lot of regrets. I should've told him the truth. Hell, I should've just kissed him back. Lord knows that what I wanted to do, after all. We never spoke of it again. We acted like nothing happened. There weren't regrets, but there were no encouragements, either. I don't know how he felt about what happened. I don't know exactly why he did it, either. To see if I was gay, probably. It's not like he actually wanted to kiss me, especially since he never did again. The memory was put away, long gone. Or so I thought. Smut Warning

Fifteen year old Troye Sivan Mellet thought August 7th, 2010 was going to be a normal day. He really did. But then by chance, when inside a strip-mall elevator that breaks down, he comes across the one and only Tyler Oakley, whom Troye had been watching on YouTube for a while, now, along with many others to gain the courage to come out to his parents. The two boys talk and Tyler gives Troye some advice, and later that day, Troye finally tells his parents what he's suspected for a while now. The two boys think that they'll never meet in person again, though they both knew they'd probably remember that fateful day years from then. But what happens when three years later, when Troye goes to Playlist Live as a small-time YouTuber, gets trapped in a hotel elevator with that same man from all those years ago, whom Troye had grown attached to over the years for reasons from social media to personal experience. Not to mention that Tyler now sees that young boy as a very attractive man now.
