The Second in the Amber Aerie Dragons Series. This is a rough draft, written in first person like the first book of the series in order to keep with the same tone. However, it stars a new heroine and a new Dragon Lord. I highly recommend reading the first of the series before this one, they are not stand alone novels. There are many things that can be predicted accurately. My life, it seems, is not one of them. Cast from the Onyx Aerie it is not surprising that my pack struggled with the adjustment of life in the wild forest. And when the first members went missing it was logical to blame the many well known dangers. But it didn't stop with a few Shifters, six in total were gone. And the last...the last one was my sister. And by the Six Gods I was not going to sit around and wait any longer for the Alpha's cautious maneuvering. It was time to get her back. Fortunately, I had a plan. Unfortunately, the plan involved betraying my pack and releasing a secret hidden for nearly a month. The question was, would he be worth it?

" Hello everyone " Mrs. Meyers said with a big smile. " We have a new addition to our group! Say hello to Grayson Mathews". I look up from my notebook to see a boy with longish black hair that covers his eyes and he is wearing a leather Jacket with a Band shirt on underneath matched with some black skinny jeans and black vans. This guy screamed danger but who am i to judge? I couldn't even spell my name 2 years ago and im 17! Well.. I guess I have an excuse but still. I am not one to judge.

**Please note that this is the old and very cringey original version and I have now posted a rewrite titled The Silent Photographer. You can read this version but it's really bad.** Isolde Moore is a selective mute. She refuses to speak to anyone and it makes it easy for her to be bullied. She finds an escape with photography and takes the most breathtaking and thought provoking photos you've ever seen. One day she meets a boy named Auric Reed who took an interest in her photos. He doesn't seem to mind that she doesn't speak and writes her answers to his questions on a piece of paper. They eventually form a friendship, but as secrets come out and the past comes to haunt them, will they be driven apart or become closer?

One thing I'll always remember is my parents saying "Everyone has a story" "Everyone has a story with a past, tragic or not. Everyone has a story that is meant to go unjudged, even if it was never told" But sometimes we forget that. Like when I though that my guardian was the devil. Even though he taught me how to laugh, how to protect, and even possible how to love. I only asked one thing "Why?" I still remember the one phrase that changed my life"Let me carry her" This one single and normal phrase was said by none other than Cooper Kingsley, our school's and town's bad boy. He was the championship boxer who drove a motorcycle and got into trouble frequently. He's the guy with brown hair that looked soft enough to run my fingers through, the guy with irresistible cold blue eyes and the guy with a built and strong body that made girls crazy. He wasn't your typical player either; no he was just hard to get- A complete tease. And the fact that he would volunteer to help a girl like this, was not normal. So what did Cooper Kingsley want anything to do with the bland and boring me? I was completely and utterly average. Or so I thought. So why did the devil suddenly become my guardian? Let's find out. "You save yourself or you remain unsaved." - Alice Sebold. °°° Florence Rosa Brine - this is her story. It's a sad one, to be honest. Her version of events is one that would surprise even those who think they knew everything about her. After a series of incidents that had emotionally and physically scarred her, Flo fled from her hometown to live with her father in Australia and changed everything about herself that made her, her. But when she realises that the only way forward is to face her demons head on, she returns to her hometown to do exactly that. In her return, she has to face Jake; the only boy she's ever loved. Yet the thing that stands out the most to Flo is his transformation. He spends most of his hours in the gym, boxing, weightlifting, boxing, and more boxing. Instantly, Flo notices that he's become quieter, fiercer and strangely distant, but she has no idea of what is going on in his head. After all, he's Jake. And no one knows a thing about Jake. While facing her fears head on, she discovers what the true meaning of love is, and how she can finally move on from her past and save herself.
