It's 1986 and Depeche Mode are touring for their newly released album, Black Celebration. Alan and Martin have been in a relationship for 3 years; over the course of that time period Alan has watched as Martin's drinking habit has spiralled out of control, at its worst whilst on the road. Their relationship now strained, who or what will redeem it and break the fragile tension between them? (*DISCLAIMER*: All events in this story are FICTIONAL and should not be taken seriously. Alan stumbles across Martin on the edge of a bridge one night. He later finds out that Martin is prepared to take his own life. Will he be able to save him or will it be too late? (Nothing in this is fact it's just a nice little story that this song always makes me think about)
