The detective gasped and placed a protective hand around his slice of strawberry cheesecake. "Don't you ever offend cake again!" "Fine then. No more kisses unless you eat anything other than cake." In defiance, L dipped his teaspoon back into his plate. "Do you really believe that I'm some sort of child? You can't possibly think that I'd fall for such futile tactics," he said, pretending that Light's threats had been ineffective. However, Light wasn't easily fooled.
