An AU where Civil War never happens, and people are friendly with each other. This is just Winterwidow fluff and smuff. Lot's of angst, but mostly fluff. Red room references. James Barnes is an army soldier who's just returned home to New York after a year of deployment. Natasha Romanoff is an NYU student studying dance. When they meet at a welcome home party for James, they immediately click. However, no one writes stories about the perfect relationships. Natasha's parents have no interest in having their daughter with a bad-boy soldier.
