After the Tragedy at TQA, people were a bit hesitant to send their kids to school. After all, the world had been in ruins. But, TQA was determined to continue educating the future generation. In order to ease tensions and competition between the students, TQA started Class 62 with a camping trip. They wanted to get the students to bond with each other so that they would preserve through any hardship. Among these students was Claire Adams, the Ultimate Barista. She wakes up on a school bus to find the rest of her peers asleep. As she checks out the camp, she realizes that it was built to keep students in and everything else out. Things get worse when a robotic bear by the name of Monokuma comes out, declaring the school field trip as a killing game. Will Claire be able to escape this game? Or will she die trying?

16 students are chosen to attend the prestigious Talon Quirk Academy, a school of chance and new opportunities, each year. However, this year is different. As usual, 16 students were chosen to join Class 59A of TQA. But, upon entering the school, their world would turn upside down. After falling unconscious, Luna Nightingale would wake up in a classroom, one she has never seen before in her life. As she begins to explore, she realizes that there was no way out and that she was trapped in this school with 15 other teens, as well as a robotic bear. Everything takes a dark turn as no one is allowed to leave until they have killed another student.
