Urbosa was many things, but even she could not halt the sands of fate. When a dying Hylian mother entrusts her infant son to her, begging on her last breath to raise him as her own, her Gerudo pride could not possibly deny her final request. Link, despite being a male, would be raised Gerudo. And Urbosa would make sure her son would be the strongest warrior of them all. (We hit Linked Universe eventually, but the first bit is definitely just BotW.)

After the demise of Calamity Ganon, Link and Zelda were finally free to fall in love and get married. All of a sudden, new evil merges and starts taking over Hyrule. Link tries to fight it off, but ends up disappearing by something mysterious.
