It was the summer of '62 when everything changed. And not for the worse, for the better. It all started when we moved into a valley neighborhood. It was two weeks before school let out, which didn't leave me and my little brother, Scotty any time to make friends. The stupid part was, our mother and stepdad made us go to school with only two weeks left. You could imagine how annoyed we were. Y/N is childhood friends with Phillips and when the boys find this out and the surprising truth that a girl can play ball better than half of them, they have a lot of resentment towards her. But Benny and Smalls are on a mission to have her play with them at the sandlot even against their friends' wishes. After fights, betrayals, and the fate that one experiences when growing up, who will be by her side through it all?
