Giyuu Tomioka is the numb hashira that everyone thinks he is full of himself but one day that changes when tomioka came back from a mission and the other hash it's learn just how badly he is hurt and of all that he's lost.

Anyone who has looked into Giyuu Tomioka's eyes have felt the feeling, of a dull pencil. Nobody wants to use the dull pencil. To him, relationships are like light bulbs, turned on as easy as a blink of an eye. But eventually the bulb dies and there is no more light. The Hashira want to discover more about the mysterious water pillar, more feeling pity, of the guy with the soulless eyes. Who will be the one to replace the light bulb, or even, turn his back on?

In this AU Giyuu and Muichiro are friends and Genya is also friends with them they hang out most of the time and Muichiro and Genya even started dating it was all nice and all but then Giyuu got send on a new mission on his own Muichiro and Genya insisted on going to but weren't aloud to, Giyuu told them it's fine and left the next day Giyuu didn't get back for a week nobody was really worried but Muichiro and Genya because Giyuu is one of the strongest out of them.
