Du willst wirklich wissen, was ist?!",schrie er.... Erneut sind Mel und ihre Freunde in die Fängen Wicked's geraten. Alles scheint aussichtslos und verloren. Doch nicht für Mel. Sie ist fest davon überzeugt diesen ganzen Wahnsinn zu beenden und sich nicht länger kontrollieren zu lassen. Koste es was es wolle....

Clary und ihre Freunde wurde gerettet. Ihnen wird etwas zu Essen gegeben und sie sind sicher. Aber schnell merken sie, dass da etwas faul ist. Clary bemerkt, wie sehr etwas falsch läuft und erkennt, dass ihre Retter nicht die sind, für die sie gehalten werden. Ein Wettrennen gegen die Zeit entsteht, denn wenn sie nicht schnell von diesem Ort verschwinden hat das schwere Folgen. Doch auch außerhalb lauern viele Gefahren für die Freunde und bald merken sie, dass es nicht so einfach wird, wie gedacht und wie groß ihre Verluste werden können. Das ist der zweite Teil meiner Maze Runner ff. Es empfiehlt sich zuerst den ersten Teil zu lesen „Wildest Dreams" Viel Spaß beim Lesen.
