The gang had gathered in Everglen for a sleepover when Sophie shared one human tradition. April Fools. Ever since she was a Level 4, they have always created top notch pranks against each other. Keefe being the best among them and Linh on the last, though not that far from Fitz. For the past 2 years, she's kept her place just next to Keefe which probably makes them tied for 1st place. Her pride as a former human who enjoyed this tradition won't just let her lose to some elves who are new to it. Now that she's a level 6, she thought of bringing up her A game, especially since it's Keefe and Fitz's last year in Foxfire. Keefe wakes up from a long coma in order to regain strength. Dex is stronger then him, zero muscle Dex! Struggling to lift weights is one thing, struggling to move your wrist is another. After almost dying, Keefe's struggling in order to hold onto his dignity. He's embarrassed, mortified, and doesn't understand why Sophie is still there for him. Most people would leave him in the dust knowing he is such a loser. It also doesn't help that Fitz is starting to show Sophie his feelings, Sophie blushes at his actions. Does that mean the Keefester is out of the game? On the other hand, Biana is developing feelings, and is trying to push them away. Sophie is struggling with her new powers. Dex is afraid of being completely crushed all over again. Tam is worried about Lyhn. Lyhnn is worried that some boy doesn't actually like her. Through all of the chaos, will this group of friends, stay friends? Or will it all burn like Eternalia?

Beginning right after the latest Keepers book Unlocked, Sophie returns home to Find Grady suspiciously sad, but never in her mind could she have imagined why, finally she goes up stairs and reads Keefe's (heartbreaking) letter. Will she go after him or honor his wishes? Spoilers if you haven't read Unlocked. But if you're like me and aching to read the next book I hope this fanfic will help you with the wait.
