Four separate souls -- Raman, Ishita, Ruhi, and Adi -- in four separate cities; but somehow CONNECTED. How? Read to find out.... Ishita Iyer has been dreaming of a life as a dentist, wife, and mother, but destiny plays a cruel joke on her, as her dreams are shattered by her fiancé Subbu right before their engagement. She moves to Delhi with her family, searching for the remedy of her broken heart, only to find happiness in the most unexpected place. Raman Bhalla was a blessed son, brother, husband, and father, only to have his world destroyed by his wife Shagun after five long years of marriage. Cursed with a scorched soul and burned by the weakness called love, he flees from Delhi, only to find peace and joy in the very place he left behind. Disclaimer: This is my retelling of the iconic show "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein." I am a huge fan of the initial 1.5-2 years which were telecast at 11 pm. Those initial days of YHM are the inspiration for my story. I attempt to close loopholes and expand on relationships and character conflicts that were insufficiently addressed on the show (in my opinion). The characters here are all the same as in the original show. The only difference is that Simi's husband and Ananya's father is a guy named Pulkit. Both Simi and Pulkit are good people and happily married. Param is not a character in this story. If you are unfamiliar with the original characters, please refer to the family trees added with the trailer. Although the story and premise is different, I will be recreating certain tracks that could have gone better in my opinion (Ishita's infertility; custody trial of both Ruhi and Adi; Mani's entry and Raman's jealousy; Ishita's insecurities regarding Shagun; IshRa pregnancy track and Pihu's birth). Please feel free to leave comments or feedback, if you like. I hope you enjoy reading! ❤️😊 [Note: English Translations have been added in italics.]

After the leap, I did not like the way the story progressed. Many questions, emotions remained unanswered. I felt writing on them

NOTE :- This Fanfiction has nothing to do with the original show except the characters and the name. Readers can read it as a general fiction as well. Special mention to Akriti154 for suggesting this appropriate title ♡♡. Entering into bond of matrimony is easy like breaking it. Divroces are not remained as a taboo in society but the outcomes are still there. Entered into holy matrimony on there own terms and conditions, Ishita Iyyer and Raman Bhalla decided to part there ways after realising they will not be able to make there marriage work but will there little daughter able to bear the outcomes? Barely four years old Roohi Bhalla spend her life along her grandparents and maids of the house, yearning for her parents love and attention. The 'divorce' which is foreign for her will snatch her innocence and love of parents? The Binding String is the contemporary romance tale dealing with love, marriage, divorce and outcomes.

Leap of Faith an act of believing in or attempting something whose existence or outcome cannot be proved or known. Sequel of my book Faith Destiny and Love, this short story revolves around life of an obedient son and responsible brother Raman Kumar Bhalla who decided to do something for himself rather than keeping his family above him. Ishita Bhalla always tried to give her best to the family which never made her feel "bahu" in the last eighteen months of marriage. She always put her in laws in her priority just like her husband but this time she decided to support him and she took a Leap of Faith with him.
