Scott, Mitch, Kirstie, Kevin and Avi are all thrilled when they are accepted into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Scott and Mitch are just like every other teenager: They go out, they study and get good grades, they're in clubs, and they're dating. They do almost everything you would expect the average teenager to do, but something is different about one of them. Mitch was in a horrible accident when he was younger and he is now blind.

When Scott finds a scared boy in the crawl space that everyone knows Scott had already claimed as his own on the streets, he finds himself not screaming at the boy to get out like he did to the other homeless people that tried to take his "home" but instead sharing his small space with him.
