It all began in China, In Qing Qing City. There was news that a baby that gave off light was born. Ever since then, superpowers were discovered in various places, and time passed without the cause being identified. The world has become a superhuman society and about 80% of the world's population now has some kind of special trait. In this world swirling with chaos, the professions that everyone once admired came into limelight. That profession is a Hero. A boy who was Quirkless admired these Heroes, but it was impossible for him to become one... Until he found a certain device that fell from the sky one day. That day, they didn't know what they had lost. Izuku Yagi was born quirkless. His sister, Izumi Yagi, on the other hand, had an extremely powerful quirk that could match One For All―her father's quirk. While his parents praised Izumi, Izuku was mindlessly neglected and shoved aside like he was nonexistent. Heroes are kind. Heroes save people. Heroes want to help people no matter what. Heroes are like All Might, smiling regardless of how a tough a fight is. Heroes, Izuku has learned, can also not be heroes at all. One article about a bad hero turns into four articles, then ten, then twenty and soon the whole country is reading about licensed villains playing at savior. Izuku writes them haphazardly, picking heroes whose wrong doings are masked by their fame. That is, until he meets Endeavor. In other words; the one where Izuku sees the fault in the hero system, makes it his mission to fix it with the help of one burnt fire-user vigilante, and eventually finds himself deeper in this mess than he originally planned. -:- Note this is a My Hero Academia fanfiction and any characters or aspects from the anime/manga belong to Kohei Horikoshi.
