Naruto and Sasuke were the only ones left. Every one of their people had been killed by the goddess. The people who fought the war by their side, all of them. They try to fix events that led up to this moment, Kaguya's victory. They were about to seal her, but she got away. Now everyone is dead, due to them not being able to seal her. They try again, this time, determined not to let everything fall apart again. Protecting the people, just how it was supposed to be. Going back in time seems like a dream from a children's novel, doesn't it?

When all hope is lost, Sasuke Uchiha, better known as Itachi's shadow, runs away to find something to help him become stronger. He has been told about the baby who survived the attack years ago and wishes that destiny takes him too as they did Naruto. Sasuke's wish comes true when Orochimaru, a scientist obsessed with unknown knowledge, offers to be his sensei. However, that's not why Sasuke agrees to be taught by the traitor of the Hidden Leaf. He sees Naruto and wonders how an outsider can smile with tubes attached to his body. He agrees to find out more about him. ••• (Disclaimer: No lemon, angst, and a short oneshot.)
