Tips for ways to avoid the cliches and write something people will enjoy. Wings of Fire has lots of good fanfictions, but it also has lots of fanfictions that COULD be good, and I hope I can give some assistance there.

(**Currently in the process of being edited AS OF OCT 2023 lol IDK how long this will take to rework but bear with me**) Set between books 4&5 and written only while book 4 was out, so please forgive any inaccuracies. --- Pyrrhia: a vast island divided between seven warring dragon tribes. A war is in the making after a prejudiced Queen, discovering her treasury raided, promptly accuses an innocent tribe of theft and launches an attack. While fleeing for her life, a young dragoness who has been given a special mission meets an unexpected ally, and together, they set off in search of a missing dragon. They find secrets buried deep underground, and discover that surviving on their own may not be as easy as they thought... The Wings of Fire series belongs to Tui T. Sutherland. This is only a fanfiction. (Grinnen and its tribes are free to use, for anyone who is wondering.)

Opal hadn't known that she had powers until she embarked on a perilous adventure across the island of Pyrexia. And not just any power, the power of a Quartz! Something mysterious has set off the wrath of the VoidWings and Opal and her friends, Sea, Stardust and Drift set off across the continent to find out what's going on and stop it. Will they succeed or will the tribes be lost in shadows? A little snippet of my story. Sea slithered up and bared her fangs. Stardust walked up and illuminated her wings and Opal went in front of both of them already digging her claws into the earth. "Opal what are you doing!?" Sea and Moonstone asked. Opal said nothing and dug her claws harder. Small crystals started to grow at the entrance. The VoidWings stopped their assault and looked on with wide eyes. The crystals grew fast, covering the entrance to Unakite's main cave. Opal left a little hole to poke her head through. Instead Sea poked her head through and hissed loudly at the four VoidWings. Through the pale translucent crystals Opal could just about see all four VoidWings rift away.

This is a collection of stories from the Scorching, from the beginning of the war to the very end of it. It contains the evolution of the tribes, and a few individual stories as well. Please enjoy, as this has taken a while to muster up the courage to make. (Yay voted #1 in 'Scortching'!)
