The year is 2132. Echo lives in Carthage, a dystopian city where the government sees and controls everything. Echo wants to be a writer, a profession banned by the government - and one that got her father killed. After her sister is killed in a rebel air strike, Echo is recruited as a spy for the government. But not everything is as it first seems, and Echo is soon sucked into a dangerous world of secrets and lies, where the only person she can trust is herself.
