After he left you weren't very unstable. But, you spend time with Jacob. Third book: Edward wanted you to marry him. And you wanted to be a vampire. So you said yes. You want to be with Edward forever. Fourth book: You get married to Edward. But, when you had sex with him. Something happened. You become pregnant. You thought that you can't have kids with Edward.
