Aúthiel has always been alone. Her dark past is splattered with blood and she struggles everyday to live with what she has done. She depends on no-one, and trusts very few. However, when the wizard Gandalf asks her to go in his stead to assist four young hobbits, she gets pulled into an adventure which changes everything. With an age-old enemy constantly searching for her and danger at every turn, will Aúthiel be able to protect the fellowship and herself, or will she fall to the darkness like her people before her? *This fan-fiction is based on 'The Lord of The Rings' film trilogy directed by Peter Jackson, but may contain some ideas and scenes from book by J.R.R. Tolkein that I particularly enjoyed, or that would contribute to my storyline. All rights to the characters in this story, except for Aúthiel, belong to Peter Jackson and J.R.R. Tolkein. To say that Oliver Wood had a slight obsession with Quidditch was an understatement. It was borderline unhealthy. He loved the sport, but he hated losing. While he hated losing to any team, there was one team he hated losing to the most. Surprisingly enough, it was the Ravenclaw team. But it wasn't for reasons that many would suspect, it was because of who played on the Ravenclaw team. Melanie Anderson has been playing for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team as Chaser since her second year. What started off as friendly competition turned into rivalry as she and Oliver Wood made it their sole mission to have their teams beat each other every year. Oliver wants to win for the sake of winning, but Melanie wants to win just to see the frustrated look on Oliver's face because it's just so damn cute. Plus, who wouldn't want to hear the sexy Scottish voice curse their name?

"What is it about you, Kira?" Oliver asked, more to himself than me, in a whisper. I could hardly breathe with him being so close and my heart was pounding almost painfully hard. "I don't know what you mean." I answered in an out of breathe manner, though I believed he was feeling the same as me. I wished I didn't have these crazy attraction and affectionate feelings for him, but I did; there was no controlling them, so I supposed I was just in for a long ride, one that would certainly lead to heartbreak. However, just because I knew the inevitable, I wasn't going to fight how I felt about him. ---------------------------------------------------------- Love may be rough for most people, but it's even harder when you fall for someone you can never be with. Kira is a 16 year old human slave that has been living with a vampire named Sam for many years. When a war breaks out and Sam is sent to a vampire clan on the other side of the continent, Kira is forced to move in with Sam's older brother Oliver. Oliver is the leader of the vampires of the Ibitario Clan. He's powerful and gorgeous, but more importantly, he's cruel and heartless. With two opposite personalities, will Kira and Oliver ever be able work out their difficulties, or will it be a lost cause? -------------------------- Beautiful cover created by M_Rainberry
