Have you ever wandered farther than what is in the real world? Lonnie and her friend start their summer the way any teenager would, on the lake. It doesn't take long for them to stumble into a world very different from their own. They find out about a legend stating that Lonnie is supposed to save them from this force of evil slowly taking over the Starling Isles and spreading to her own. They quickly descover exactly how difficult that is going to become.
