Being a genius isn't hard. Or at least, not for Veronica Boniadi. Numbers and words, science and history - knowing it all is like breathing for Veronica. Though it's a breath she's been holding in from the rest of the world. To her classmates she's a burnout loser with no friends. To her struggling family she's the only one able to help them get through the day. Throughout all of high school, Veronica's genius is never really shown. That is, until the school's principal feels the need to pair her up with a tutor. Jay, the top student in senior year - haughty and arrogant, and everything Veronica despises - is given the task of making sure Veronica doesn't fail the midterms and sink the school's overall score below the national average. Forced to do actual school work for the first time in her life, Veronica tries to downplay her intellect as much as possible. She doesn't want the attention, the distraction, or any responsibility that might take her away from supporting her sick family. But fooling Jay turns out to be much harder than she thought.

Ellinor White has a nearly photographic memory and can remember literally everything. This is a big advantage when she's at her school, a private, exclusive high-school for rich and mentally gifted teenagers; after all, without it there's no way she would be at the school on a scholarship, just starting her Senior year when she's not even 15 yet. Unfortunately, it can also be a bit of a curse. Her parents divorced when she was 10 and she was placed in her father's custody while her brother went with her mother. Only a year later, her father remarried, and for some reason Ella's new step mother didn't like her that much. So she poisoned Ella's dad against her. Mental and sometimes physical abuse mixed with a photographic memory isn't very pleasant. Though Ella's stepmom died in an accident and her father was paralyzed from the waist down in the same accident, life still isn't any easier now. Her father can't terrorize her as much, but he also can't work so Ella has to work herself just to keep a roof over her head. With perfect memory, school still isn't much of a challenge beyond the bullying, but combining everything together, Ella's life is a bit crazy. Things don't look like they'll get any better soon... But there are a couple new kids in town...

Veronica is a computer genius, who doesn't always obey the rules. When she gets thrown out on to the abandoned streets of what used to be America, she meets Sebastian, who is handsome, kind, and mysterious. On a quest to save the world she meets betrayal, mystery, and adventure. *** Pain shoots across my stomach. I look down and see blood spill out. I grasp my stomach. Sebastian still stands over the man with the eye patch. "Um Sebastian," I squeak. I start to fall, but he catches me before I hit the ground. He sets me down gently and takes off his jacket pressing the cloth to my abdomen. "You're going to be fine," he says picking me up, and he starts speed walking the direction we were heading. I hear him say something, but I don't know what. Everything is getting dim, and my ears seem like they're underwater because everything sounds muffled. The world gets darker and darker until it finally goes black. *** Authors Note- I hope my story brightens up your day, and gives you something to enjoy. Thank you for reading. Sorry if there are some mistakes this is the first draft. I hope you enjoy.

[Wattys 2021 Shortlist] Something evil is lurking on the campus of Carleton State. And despite being a student reporter, Daisy is determined to find out who it is and get justice. It's what she does, after all. Doesn't hurt that it all helps her build towards her future career as a serious journalist. However, this time she finds herself in over her head and must rely on the help of someone she least expects - reserved, yet popular football player Tyler. Something that her best friend Zack from her hometown doesn't understand. But what starts out as a partnership grows complicated with feelings, friends and pasts getting in the way. And all the while, a killer is still on the loose and only growing bolder. Daisy convinces herself that it's just a story and she's merely an observer. But slowly, she finds herself drawn into something that turns out much bigger, and much more personal, than she originally thought. Despite all of her friends' warnings to, for once, stay out of trouble. It seems trouble follows Daisy and this is certainly no different. "Something Wicked" is available to purchase on Amazon Kindle and in Kindle Unlimited. You can finish reading the rest of the book there. Warning - There are mature scenes involving strong language, alcohol, sex and mentions of alcohol and drug abuse and violence. There is also an attempted SA scene, but it's been marked.

THANK YOU, Wattpad, for the HQ Love Watty Award! Concept: A mysterious young woman flees from her troubled past only to discover it is impossible to escape THE SECRET that haunts her. *PLEASE NOTE: This story was originally inspired by the movie "Sleeping With the Enemy". * * * * * "I would never, Steven," she promised, turning away from him in an attempt to protect herself. "I know you wouldn't," he screamed. Cupping her chin in his hand, he forced her to look at him. "Because I would kill you." His words hung heavy in the air. Sarah's heart sank into her stomach. No matter how many times she'd heard the menacing phrase, she could never get used to it. It had the same affect on her as the first time he'd thrown the ugly words in her face. The familiar sting of bile rose in her throat, and she knew she would deplete the contents of her stomach once she was locked in the safety of their master bath. 'If I make it through this time,' she agonized. Her biggest fear was that one day he would really lose his temper with her. Who knew what would happen then? *This story is an unedited first draft. Top Ranks: Action #1, Mystery and Thriller #1 *This story contains scenes of abuse and may be disturbing to some readers. While the characters are fictional, domestic violence is a serious issue that many people across the world face. If you or someone you know is the victim of abuse, please seek help immediately. Cordelia Waters appears to have the perfect life-a thriving career, a loving marriage to Weston, and a spacious home in the suburbs. United in their ambitions, Cordelia and Weston have always agreed on everything, especially on choosing a child-free existence. That harmony shatters when Cordelia unexpectedly learns she is pregnant. While Weston embraces fatherhood with joy, Cordelia's world is upended by the reality she never wanted. Six months after the birth of their daughter Emerald, tragedy strikes: Emerald vanishes from her crib without a trace. As the search unfolds, unsettling questions arise. What happened to Emerald? Why does Cordelia struggle to recall the events of that morning? Suspicion builds as Cordelia's story unravels, and Weston fears the worst-that his wife, battling her own instability, may be responsible for the disappearance. Facing mounting pressure and desperate to clear her name, Cordelia launches her own investigation into Emerald's disappearance. She knows that proving her innocence is her only hope. But as the authorities dig deeper, long buried secrets resurface, and Cordelia's grip on reality is tested.
