There's had been changes in Lucifer's behaviour, one's that were hard to miss. One minute he's sarcastic, then broken and then caring. Chloe noticed, she seemed to be the only one noticing. But every time she brought up the subject Lucifer would change the subject or say he was fine but she wasn't an idiot, she could tell it wasn't.
