There were many people who thought the quirkless were disgusting. That they were diseased and had to be exterminated. Hate crimes were normal. Violence towards them were normal. It was just how society was. Even if some people thought otherwise, it was never enough to outweigh the hatred of the thousands. And now, the quirkless would pay their final price for merely existing, and society would be forced to watch.

When Izuku was dropped In a pile of blankets in the center of a large room with white walls, he was so sure he had been kidnapped by a villain. He was not expecting to find so many familiar people had had the same fate. Just one problem, there was a very large, unbreakable, glass wall between them. Sitting in the common room with his class while they shared funny childhood stories, Izuku remained silent. Not because everyone was talking over each other to be next, but because he had none. His mother was never home long enough to play with him, and he could hardly remember what life was like before his diagnosis. His childhood was a blur of heroes and pain, and not a single part of it felt happy outside of the rare moments he spent with his mom. Those few times she held him, exhausted and barely holding herself together promising that she'd never leave him and that one day it would get better for them. It was better now, but Izuku was left with no childhood to remember.
