Taehyung is a Death Eater wreaking havoc wherever he goes. Jisoo is the assigned Auror to capture him. Once, they had been something akin to lovers but now they meet again as foes.

"Bet you didn't think your Monday would include being trapped with your favorite employee." Still focused on his phone, he responds dryly, "I don't play favorites." She closes the distance between them by a few steps, standing just beside his left shoulder. He doesn't move, but she can feel the subtle shift in his breathing. "Liar," she whispers, her voice low, loaded with challenge.

She looked up only halfway, just enough to see a jawline carved by God and lit by neon. The guy had messy dark hair and eyes that shimmered under the strobing lights-eyes that looked like they belonged to someone who laughed easily, but didn't tonight. He leaned slightly forward, trying to get her attention. "Want to dance?" he asked, voice low but clear even over the music. Jisoo blinked. Once. Twice. Her mouth opened automatically. "Yeah," she said, waving dismissively, "I'll come in a moment." She didn't even look fully at him. She didn't think she needed to. Her phone buzzed again. She looked down.

Taehyung ignored him, gaze locked on Jisoo. "He's bothering you." "No," she snapped. "He's not." The lie was thin. Taehyung took a step closer. "Then why are you yelling at me instead of him?" Silence. Her hands clenched into fists at her sides. "He's my friend," she said tightly. The word felt wrong the moment it left her mouth. Taehyung's brows knit together. "Your... what?" "My friend," she repeated. "So just-leave it." He laughed once, sharp and incredulous. "Since when do you have a friend like this?" The guy's face darkened. "Watch your mouth." Taehyung finally turned to him, eyes cold. "Or what?" "Tae-!" Jisoo hissed. Taehyung looked back at her, stunned now-not angry, not yet, just genuinely shaken. "You never mentioned him. Not once." "I don't owe you explanations," she said, voice trembling with something dangerously close to panic. "That's not what this is," Taehyung said quietly. "This is about him." The guy scoffed. "You don't know anything about her." Taehyung's jaw tightened. "I know more than you, enough to see when she's uncomfortable."

Introduction: "Runaway Heart" In the heart of Seoul, amidst sparkling lights and the buzz of high society, Taehyung's wedding was supposed to be the grandest event of the year. The groom: dashing, rich, and seemingly perfect. The bride: graceful, intelligent, and admired by everyone around her. Everything seemed poised for a picture-perfect union-except for one glaring problem. Taehyung didn't want to marry Jisoo. She closed her eyes for the briefest second. Then she opened them-and let her gaze drift over Taejon's shoulder until it found Taehyung. He wasn't smiling. But his eyes burned with something deeper. Something dangerous. Something she couldn't name, but it made her spine straighten and her lips part. "I do," she said, her voice strong. But the words weren't for Taejon. They were a betrayal, whispered behind a veil of tradition and silk and stolen glances. Her lips had formed them. Her heart had not.

Taehyung arrived like he's a god. And made Jisoo's life flipped. The farm she always thought was theirs, suddenly ends up in the hands of the Kims and it will be nothing but a casino if she wont be able to buy it from them. And as much as Jisoo would love to buy it back, their assets are no match to what the Kims are demanding. Her blood boils as she cant get into an agreement with them and it seems as though a little devil is making it extra hard for her. But more than loosing the land, the future of her sister, Rosè is at stake. Rosè just got into a prestigious music university and Jisoo will give everything to make sure her sister graduates. She wonders how long will she be able to put up with the most unbelievable guy she had ever met. Or has his antics becoming more endearing as days pass?
