Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays during his lifetime and along with Hamlet, is one of his most frequently performed plays. First published in 1871 as a serial narrative in The Dark Blue, Carmilla tells the story of a young woman's susceptibility to the attentions of a female vampire, Carmilla. Camilla predates Bram Stoker's Dracula by 26 years, and has been adapted many times for cinema (including Carmilla, the web series).
