[Ishigami Senku × Fem!Reader] (On a hiatus!) ~~~~~ Before turning to stone, (Y/N) (L/N)'s life was actually pretty great. She had a strong hobby to help defend herself and others, along with very good friends. Sure, her parents were hardly ever around, but having Ishigami Senku and his father, Byakuya, as neighbors, made her life much more exciting. Especially after meeting Taiju and Yuzuriha as well. With them, she was able to share her dreams, experiences, and secrets with them. But soon, everybody in the world had been turned to stone. For over 3,700 years, humanity had been frozen in place. (Y/N) has been stuck for a very long time, losing her hopes and dreams. That is until Senku had woken her up from her slumber. She saw that humanity had been reset to zero, and it was up to her and Senku to bring it back. This is no easy task, as there will be trouble along the way. The fate of the world was in their hands. As there is trouble, perhaps new, or even existing, feelings will blossom and grow through this journey. Will (Y/N) pursue those irrational feelings, or will she abandon it for the sake of humanity? ----- Note: I do not own Dr. Stone. All rights to characters and the original plot, except the reader and her own scenes, belong to BOICHI and RIICHIRO INAGAKI. There will be small changes to fit the reader into the story. This is a slow-burn fic! This will also slightly follow the "asexual Senku" head canon! Happy Reading! -Top Rankings- #1 in Senku #1 in SenkuxReader #1 in SenkuIshigami #1 in Dr. Stone #17 in Anime #77 in Manga

Variable adjective | not consistent or having a fixed pattern; liable to change. In a science experiment, there are three kinds of variables: independent, dependent and controlled. This is one of the first things about science that Senku learns as a kid and has followed that rule until he meets (Full Name) who changes that one rule. She shows him there is a fourth kind of variable: constant. To Senku, science is never about consistency as things are always evolving and changing, yet that doesn't apply to (Name) and he can never understand it. However, maybe it isn't such a bad thing in this stone world where Senku will learn how consistency plays an important role in science.

[Slight various x reader || following the manga] "There is," Senku said. "one science that I could never master..." he paused and looked at you. "Yours." But you didn't feel that way, you completely disagreed. In this stone world, your talent was basically useless.

"I like you." A phrase made up of three simple words that shouldn't carry as much weight as it did. Well, not that it really mattered to Ishigami Senku. In every way, romantic attraction was something that just clouded your rational judgement and distracted you from the things you should be doing. Something annoying. Something that, the more you try to push away, the more it pokes at you. But as much as he'd like to say that it was ten billion percent only based off of the scientific studies he stumbled upon while researching about brain neurons and whatnot and the behaviors of Taiju, Yuzuriha, and heck, even (Y/N), the truth is--it wasn't. ·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚ They were childhood friends, one being louder and more obvious about their feelings than the other. Despite seemingly having erased the word "romance" from his dictionary, he couldn't help but glance at her, with his words to her from thousands of years ago still ringing in his ears. "I promise." Disclaimers: *This fanfiction follows the path of the original plot in the anime (and manga, later on) with a few twists here and there, so some, if not most, of the plotline belongs to Riichiro Inagaki. *In addition, there'll be some scenes that I take straight from the manga. It will happen more frequently if I ever finish writing everything before the anime catches up. Those, too, belong to Riichiro Inagaki. *There will be dialogue taken straight from translation, and others reworded but keep the original meaning. None of these belong to me. *I do not own any characters mentioned in the Dr. STONE anime and manga. *The pictures I used to create the cover belong to their rightful owners.

[Y/N] [L/N] and Senku Ishigami. A playful rivalry exists between these two exemplary students. But what else is between? A feeling called attraction. Determining this feeling as illogical, both refrain from confessing to the other as this will mean that whoever confesses first is the one who loses in the field of science! Conclusion: The person who falls in love first loses.
