In L'Manburg, there exists a virus. A virus known for obliterating every server it is sent into, every computer it touches. One of the oldest viruses out there, hackers claim it is impossible to eliminate, and many have tried. Many more have taken the virus and used it against their enemies, against corporations and governments, against fellow hackers and spies. No matter where it is sent, no matter who it targets, the virus known as The Blade leaves nothing behind. One hacker has not yet been tested against it. Ph1LzA Min3crAft has spent many years in the computer world, learning its language and all the delicate intricacies of its functions. In this open, strange world of ones and zeroes, of precise commands and exacting standards, Ph1LzA is regarded as king. So when the virus resurfaces, he is called in to destroy it once and for all. But Ph1LzA doesn't work like other hackers. He's more curious, more interested in learning why the virus is out here in the first place, why it too behaves differently than any other piece of code he's ever seen. Why it almost seems alive...

This story plays in the world of the Origin SMP. Its based on yet another short animatic from 'Casserole :D' on youtube. I swear I can come up with content myself! (Cover art not mine. He managed to capture the most rare and dangerous species without much trouble, so of course he didnt think twice when accepting a challenge to capture a one of a kind hybrid that has been spotted in the nearby forests. No other hunter ever managed to catch it, let alone get even close enough to get a good look. So the description of this hybrid is different, depending on who you are asking. Only one thing always stays the same: The hybrid has large, midnight black wings. Who knew this decision to accept the hunting challenge would change his life forever.

Techno told him he wants to quickly get some crimson wood and be back in 10 minutes... that was 4 hours ago. Now the sun is setting and the Piglin was nowhere in sight. So, naturally, he went looking for him. Instead of his pink haired hybrid friend, he found a gigantic hoglin that seemed to take an instant liking to him. Now accompanied by his new pet, the bird man went looking for his friend, not knowing that he was much closer than he thought... inside the hoglin's body, constantly following and protecting him.

'It was dark outside by now, and Dream could hear the sounds of monsters roaming the surface. He shivered and grabbed his stone sword a little tighter. He's safe in here... nothing can hurt him... right? A too close for comfort zombie groan made him press more into the corner of his hideout. What he wouldn't give to be back home again, just recording with his friends and having fun in the streams they do together or have patches curl up against his side. He would prefer almost anything over the situation he's in right now. One wrong move and his life would be over. He hates it here. He just wants to go home. Please.' ---- Hey! I did something similar to this for a German story I published like two years ago, so I figured, why not do it in English too? So here goes nothing! This will be a long one! Also, I already want to apologize for not writing the characters 'realistic' enough at some points. I mainly watch Philza and Techno, so everyone else is a bit... unknown to me? Like of course I watch Tommy Videos or Dream Manhunt and all that, but that's about it. So if you feel like your favorite DSMP streamer isn't written very accurately, I'm very sorry, but I'm doing my best. Apart from that, have fun!
