Rintaro Suna ging mit den beiden Miya Brüdern in die gleiche Klasse, als sie unerwarteter Weise eine Austauschschülerin bekamen, die zwar sehr gut Japanisch konnte, aber aus Amerika stammte. Überraschenderweise, und zu dem bedauern von Suna, verbrachte sein bester Freund, Osamu Miya viel zu viel Zeit mit der Amerikanische Schülerin Heather. Erst zu spät und mit Hilfe des Kapitäns Shinsuke Kita erkannte der Mittelblocker, dass er sich in ihn verliebt hatte.
