Satoru has never been a sentimental man. He has never held a love for the various homes he's lived in. There's no nostalgic feeling for a long passed childhood spent in the dying sunset's light on a muggy summer evening. There's no want for forgotten friends and teachers. Yet, something continues to yank him backwards. There is a void in his heart, it aches and yearns for something that he finds himself often out of breath. No matter how many times he asks himself 'What am I missing?' he never has an answer.

"You really okay with this?" "With what?" Suguru glances up from the counter, quirking up a brow. It's not really like Gojou to beat around the bush with him. "Like, living like this. I mean, I'm not saying that it's a bad way to live but you were one of the strongest sorcerers alive." There's another pause and Suguru can just about hear the unspoken words 'we were the strongest' that hang between them. "Are you fine with being just a ramen vendor?"

"Hey," Suguru cuts off Gojou. For a few seconds, he mulls over what he wants to say. "I was serious earlier." "About what? That my personality is like a dumpster fire?" "Well, that too. At least you finally admit it." Suguru chuckles. "What I meant was that the girls really do want to see you again. They've been bugging me for the past month." He trails off, hating that this'll just stroke Gojou's already inflated ego.

Gojo knew very well Maki only wore ponytails but he knew exactly why he put her hair in a bun. It was a habit.
