When Faneth saves Marcus, it is the beginning of a true friendship, though their personalities clash at times. Although, as troubles dawn and new problems arise, and when a mystery shrouding a fateful event of Faneth's past returns to haunt her, together they try to find answers. Except as their friendship then partnership grows deeper, their feelings begin to catch on. But there's something standing between them.
