(Spider-Man Noir x Female!Reader) You're dead. At least, that's how its supposed to be. You died the day that your childhood friend, Peter Parker, turned sixteen. The grief and guilt of losing you on top of the grisly death of his Uncle Ben has been carried in his heart ever since. Now, at nineteen, an investigation leads him to an underground club, where you are working as a club singer. The thing is, you can't remember anything that happened to you before you turned fifteen.

'Love. Donnie couldn't help but ponder what that word really meant in this circumstance. You were not exclusively his, nor vice versa, so what did 'I love you' truly mean in this position? He thought about how distant the true meaning of 'love' had drifted from the word itself in his own mind; he'd heard the word so many times that it had nearly lost its meaning. Almost as if it undermined the true severity of what it implied. The word was strong and important, but not sacred. At least not within his family. DId that make his feelings significant anymore? What would it mean to love someone, to truly love someone, if the word lost all meaning?'
