Hermione encuentra un libro de aritmancia durante su estadía en la casa de los Black, ese libro es en realidad un diario perteneciente a un miembro de la familia que ha sido casi completamente olvidado, Regulus Black, del que nunca había escuchado hablar. Al comienzo Regulus parece el típico sangre pura mimado y odioso, pero su historia se tuerce por rumbos que lo llevaran a un trágico final. A pesar de no haberlo conocido realmente, Hermione no puede evitar sentir empatía y cierto cariño por el chico, más aún cuando comienza a soñar con él. Pero sin importar lo que haga ahora Hermione es imposible detener el trágico final de Regulus, salvarlo del lugar donde terminó su vida ¿O quizá no?
