Natasha Romanoff was never particularly fond of Y/N. Ever since you joined the team, there was a tangible rivalry between you both. Apart from this, you were ignorant toward one another. One night, after a dangerous trip to Budapest with Clint, you return to the compound injured and weak. Natasha, who appears to have been waiting expectantly, gently cleans you up and scolds Clint for his irresponsibility. Despite all her personas that Natalia has taken, being your girlfriend was one of the best. She would come home to a cooked meal and letters for her to read in different languages you were learning. Sometimes she would come home to you in a pretty dress and curled up asleep by the phone. Then when the two of you would argue and Natalia would leave after 7 hours she would come home and you made it up to her. She knew that her love for you was pure and territorial but the fact you overlooked her past and accepted it as a part of her is why she loves you the most.
