It's been five years since Berk last saw hiccup as he disappeared from Berk after he was announced as the one to kill the monstrous nightmare. In the years after hiccups disappearance, word has been spread of people reporting that people have been spotted riding dragons protecting both humans and dragons from each other and that they have seen a young man leading the group of riders as they call him the dragon master. Astrid hears of this man and is wondering who this mysterious people is. Will she found out who he is?. Will the love that she had for hiccup be realized?. Wat he is doing and what has he been up ?. What happens when war is on the horizon will the dragon riders and Vikings join together to stop this force that threatens both the dragons and Vikings?.

In the attack Astrid was badly injured and Hiccup kidnapped her and brings her back to the edge. They start to fall for each other but one of them will have to change their ways. When he finish telling her his plan and surprisingly to hiccup and even Toothless she beg to come with and she also told him her reason. Turns out Astrid Hofferson was abused and pressured by her own family. She have enough of it, Hiccup didn't really have yes as his first nor second choice but she beg him until he gave up and let her tag along. What would happen to them?, will this new path that choose was path to a bright future?,will something spark between them? (Obviously). What would the village have to say about this?
