Children's and Household Tales (German: Kinder- und Hausmärchen) is a collection of fairy tales first published in 1812 by the Grimm brothers, Jacob and Wilhelm. The collection is commonly known in English as Grimms' Fairy Tales.

The Time Machine is a science fiction novel by H. G. Wells, published in 1895 and written as a frame narrative. Wells is generally credited with the popularization of the concept of time travel by using a vehicle that allows an operator to travel purposely and selectively forwards or backward in time. The term "time machine", coined by Wells, is now almost universally used to refer to such a vehicle. The Time Machine has been adapted into three feature films of the same name, as well as two television versions, and a large number of comic book adaptations. It has also indirectly inspired many more works of fiction in many media productions.

The Cats of Ulthar, by H.P. Lovecraft. This short story was written in June 1920, and was first published in the November 1920 issue (No. 11) of The Tryout.

Poetry and the Gods, by H.P. Lovecraft with Anna Helen Crofts. This short story was written in 1920, and was first published in the September 1920 issue (No. 1) of the United Amateur.

The Doom that Came to Sarnath, by H.P. Lovecraft. This short story was written in 1919, and was first published in the June 1920 issue (No. 44) of the Scottish amateur fiction magazine The Scot.

The Statement of Randolph Carter, by H.P. Lovecraft. This short story was written in December 1919, and was first published in the May 1920 issue (No. 13) of the amateur press journal the Vagrant.
