Set after the war, when Azula's mental health is being tested, and most of our heroes have gone separate ways. However, they've reconvened at the Fire Nation Palace and Zuko, unbeknownst to Azula, has invited Ty Lee in hopes that the acrobat can heal Azula's old wounds. Only, Azula, isn't enthused by her brother's hopes. She's grown used to isolation and her own loneliness. There will definitely be learning curves ahead for both an acrobat and a princess.

After the 100 year war, Azula is sent to an asylum by her brother in hopes of curing her of her madness. She manages to escape some time later into the wilderness, and she comes across a little girl that inadvertently saves her life and, before she knows it, Azula finds herself becoming a mother to the child. Four years later, Zuko enlists the help of his friends in hopes of finding his sister and making amends. Has Azula changed? How does she handle returning to the palace and how will Zuko feel about the surprise new family member? Will old foes turn into friends, and will old friends forgive Azula for the pain she caused them? And, more importantly, how is Azula supposed to control the feelings she has for the girl she's been in love with since they were children? Will the acrobat break her heart, or will Ty Lee help Azula rise from the ashes? TW for themes of suicide and abuse.

A Sequel to Learning Curves, this story takes place about one year after Azula's fever. Ty Lee is currently acting as ambassador for the Fire Nation in Republic City thanks to Azula. Though the acrobat has remained absent for some time both write when they can to stay in touch. This story picks up with one such letter as Azula struggles to fight for her second chance. She isn't willingly to let it go this time, but keeping it is far more difficult than she anticipated. Especially when the person who has helped her the most is halfway across the world.
