Lala's adopted mom Maria just died in a car accident and Lala has to go with a gaudian, Babi. Lala has to go to a school in Rome just when she found out who she is and where she came from. She meets someone who she becomes close friends with, and suddenly that turns into a romance that she doesn't want to accept. Meanwhile she has to find her twin sister Elena and try to deal with someone that's trying to kill her. While secrets from her past reveal themselves, there's pieces missing. Who is this enemy? And why does he want to kill her.

Senior year couldn't be better. Avery Nelson's finally dumped her brain-dead boyfriend, she's taking all easy classes, and she finally has a job working at the local McDonald's.
